FILM FORCE

FILM FORCE is an NYC-based film collective that I co-founded in 2017 with filmmaker Jose Rodriguez. Twice a year, we give a dialogue-only script to a five directors and challenge them to create a short film with it, filling in the screen direction, characters, and setting however they want. The only rule is that all dialogue must appear unchanged in their film. We then screen the wildly different interpretations back-to-back at venues around the city.

We are now on our 12th iteration of FF. So far, over 50 short films have been screened. We’re growing a network of directors, writers, actors, and crew who have collaborated and become friends. Some are pros. Many are first timers. All are having a blast making art for the fun of it.
